On July 20, entrusted by Lefteris Kontos, former Vice Chairman of the Greece-China Friendship Association, Filippos Kontos drove for more than two hours to broadcast the Chinese children play “Sandpiper, Clam and Fish” for more than 500 Greek teenagers and children aged 6-12 at the summer camp base in the Peloponnesian Peninsula of Greece. Before the performance, the performance guide specially recorded by President Feng Li was also played. Local children all understand the Chinese story and like this special play.

First of all, I would like to introduce two Mr. Kontos: Lefteris Kontos is the former Vice Chairman of the Greece-China Friendship Association and the “Ambassador of Peace and Friendship of China”. He has visited China 202 times and has been 78 years old. He is full of feelings for China and the Chinese people. Under the influence of Mr. Kontos, his son Filippos Kontos learned Chinese and continued the cause of Greek Chinese friendship. in 2020, the father and son contacted three cities in Greece for the play “Sandpiper, Clam and Fish” . Due to the epidemic, they did not make the trip. However, their desire and efforts to introduce Chinese children’s dramas to Greek audiences have never stopped. “Perceiving Chinese Traditional Culture” —the online performance and after-show talk was jointly proposed by the Greek father and son and the China National Theatre for Children at the beginning of the year.

On July 21, Feng Li, President of the Chinese children's Art Theatre, together with Wu Xu, director of “Sandpiper, Clam and Fish” , Feng Lei, Stage designer, and four actors, together with two Mr. Kontos and the Greek children's literature writer Sofia Zarabouka and the famous Greek drama director Niketi Kontouri,Lefteris Giovanidis, artistic director of the municipal theater in Piraeus, Greece, had an online dialogue.
